Criminals are skillful in choosing a target. Talking on a cell phone or listening to headphones makes you a easy prey. When in public or alone, look around and stay aware of the things happening around you. Trust your instincts
Follow your gut instinct and pay attention to everything happening around you. All of us, especially women, have this gift, but very few of us pay attention to it. Avoid a person or a situation which does not feel safe.
Get trained stay prepared for the unknown attacks and fight your attackers boldly. Make sure your training includes real scenario practices where you get to fight against a sudden attack.
Hit where it hurts
Eyes, throat, and groin are very vulnerable. Make sure your first move is as forceful as possible. Don’t depend on self-defense tools or weapons to stop an attacker.
Stop thinking of the consequences and focus on your escape route. Look around you and think of ways how you can escape the situation.

No matter what happens, never give up. If you’re in a fight for your life, make sure you win it. Just keep fighting and have faith that you will persevere. You want to make sure you come home every night and get the time you expect and deserve with your family.
